Q: How would you describe the extended day preschool schedule?
The St. Joseph extended day preschool will meet four days a week (M, T, Th, F) from 8:00am -3:00pm. The morning hours (8:00-11:00) will be part of the (free) Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program and the extended hours (11:00-3:00) will be a continuation of the learning and play that took place in the morning. Lunch and rest time will be part of the extended day schedule, as well as faith activities. For the extended part of the day, tuition will be charged.
What will be the cost of tuition?
The cost of tuition will be $2,500 and there are many ways to make payments based on what works best for your family. Most of the school parents opt for a 10-month payment plan which means that tuition would be $250/month.
Will financial assistance be available to those families who request it and demonstrate financial need?

When will registration open?
Registration will open Monday, March 3, 2025.
Where will I find the link to enroll?

Q: I heard that St. Joseph School will be offering an extended day preschool starting in the 2024-2025 school year. Is this correct?
Yes, the school will be offering an extended day. Here are the details.
The preschool will be in the statewide voluntary preschool program from 8:00-11:00, four days each school week. There is no preschool on Wednesdays.
The extended day will be from 11:00-3:00, four days each school week. There is no extended day on Wednesdays.
Preschool students must attend the entire extended day, which would be from 8:00-3:00.
Q: I heard that there are limited spots available in the extended day program. Is this true?
Yes, we follow the state’s guidelines and only 20 spots are available for the extended day preschool. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to sign up through Central DeWitt for an alternative preschool location. (website will be provided 2/1/24 at 12:00pm)
Q: Speaking of enrollment, when can I sign up my child for St. Joseph preschool?
Dates have not been determined, but you will have at least a week’s notice.
Q: Will current school families be able to enroll first?
Yes, current families will have the opportunity to enroll first.
